Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 August 2026.
The Last Banner Ad is a paid public auction for a single banner placement. By bidding you agree to these terms. This is readable product language, not a guaranteed legal instrument.
What you are buying
Payment purchases temporary current-banner placement. The highest valid paid bid owns the banner until someone else pays a valid higher bid. There is no guaranteed minimum ownership time, no guaranteed number of impressions or clicks, and payment does not guarantee sales or any particular business result.
Auction mechanics
The opening bid is $25. After that, the minimum increase is $5 below $100, $10 from $100–$999, and $50 at $1,000 and above. You may pay more than the minimum. The server, not the browser, decides the valid amount. PayPal is the payment processor.
Starting checkout creates a 15-minute bid reservation. A reservation can raise the lowest currently available bid without being a completed payment. If a reservation expires, that price can become available again. If two people check out at once, the first valid captured bid that still meets the current paid minimum becomes owner. A later still- valid higher capture can immediately dethrone that owner. If your bid is no longer high enough at capture time, we do not capture and you are not charged.
History and moderation
When you are outbid, your banner enters the Hall of Fallen Banners as a historical archive. You are responsible for destination sites and must have rights to submitted text and images. Prohibited content includes malware, phishing, scams, illegal products or services, impersonation, hate, harassment, explicit sexual content, deceptive redirects, intellectual-property infringement, and content prohibited by PayPal or likely to create payment-provider or platform compliance problems.
We may hide abusive or prohibited banners. Hiding is not a refund and does not delete paid records. Payment disputes, reversals, or refunds processed through PayPal may change banner status, including removing current ownership.
Images and destinations
Optional banner images are accepted as PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 2 MB, then re-encoded. We do not allow SVG, HTML, JavaScript, remote image URLs, or other embed code. Destinations must be public https URLs or supported @handles. @handles are treated as links to the corresponding X/Twitter profile.
